The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, RFDS QLD delivers extensive primary healthcare and 24-hour emergency service, from nine strategic bases, to those who live, work and travel throughout Queensland.
The role:
- 4 month fixed-term opportunity

The RFDS is undergoing significant digital transformation and is seeking a full-time Project Support Officer to join the Information Communications Team (ICT) to assist with project management activities and offer administrative support to the ICT team.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the role will support ICT initiated programs and projects ensuring appropriate governance, effective change management and communication strategies are used to generate commitment and enable sustained performance. The Project Support Officer is required to develop documentation, maintain a project schedule and budget, coordinating team resources and stakeholder engagement activities, proactively anticipating and preparing information requirements for the team, including preparing background documentation for meetings and reports.

Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will have project management and support experience, be highly organised, and have a keen interest in technology. You will ideally possess:
- 3+ years’ experience in project/program support roles
- Exposure to project management, risk management, budgeting and operations
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite, including Microsoft Project, and SharePoint
- Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Change Management and Stakeholder Communications management functions
- Prince2 or equivalent project Management qualification/experience
