The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. The role:
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) is currently seeking an Informatics Officer to join the team on a permanent, full time basis located at Brisbane Airport. Reporting to the Manager – Clinical Information and Records, this role will engage in a wide range of activities provided by the Health Informatics Team to both internal and external stakeholders.
Your day-to-day duties will include, but not be limited to:
- The management of aeromedical and Primary Health care data, including reporting and quality activities
- Clinical Information systems administration including end user training and technical support
- Maintaining Policy and Procedure documentation
- Supporting Base and Clinical staff as required across a varied scope of activities
- Manage the Release of Patient Information processes under the relevant legislation
- General administrative support and assistance as required

Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:
- Experience working in a health care environment and/or a background of health records management is desirable.
- A high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Previous experience in a Data management and Reporting orientated role
- Knowledge of patient management systems (Medical Director, Best Practice or similar) is desirable.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective professional relationships with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of a team to achieve team-based outcomes as well as the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
