We are seeking a full-time Clinical Safety and Quality Officer within the Clinical Governance team, based in our Brisbane Corporate Office (5 Lobelia Circle, Brisbane Airport). In this diverse role, working within a close-knit team, you’ll help us make a real difference to people’s lives and to the future of our organisation.

About us:

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. You will enjoy data analysis and finding solution focussed approaches for the creation of high performing, evidence-based health services to isolated populations. Success in this role requires an influential and flexible team player, willing to travel to establish collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.

Key focus areas will include:

  • Promoting a patient centric, safety-supportive culture through consistent application of evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
  • Clinical incident investigation, management and analysis.
  • Facilitating clinical case reviews and disseminating lessons learned to clinical staff.
  • Supporting educational programs in patient safety and patient centred care.
  • Implementing safety and quality initiatives as directed by the CSQM and Senior Leaders.
  • Supporting the operationalisation of the Consumer and Community Engagement Framework.
  • Consumer liaison and consumer feedback mechanisms.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
