The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, we deliver extensive primary healthcare and 24-hour emergency service, from nine strategic bases, to those who live, work and travel throughout Queensland.

  • Located at Bundaberg RFDS Base

The RFDS is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join the team at the Bundaberg Base. This casual role will provide adhoc leave coverage and support us in busy times As the hours will be adhoc we are looking for someone who is committed to a casual role where the hours may not always be consistent.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for variety and opportunities to develop new skills in a team-focussed, fast-paced and professional environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • General administrative support including correspondence, managing mail, stationery and consumables.
  • Answering incoming calls and general reception duties.
  • High volume, accurate data entry.
  • Records management, filing and archiving systems.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will require at least two years experience working in a busy office environment, demonstrate accurate high volume data entry skills and competent administration skills.  You will also possess: 

  • Intermediate skills in MS Office, particularly with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Sound knowledge and experience with coordination, prioritisation and time management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all managers and key stakeholders.
  • The ability to work effectively and cooperatively in both a team environment and autonomously.
  • Current drivers licence

If successful, you must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, a criminal history check, and be eligible to obtain ASIC clearance.
